I read somewhere a while back that there is something about knowing you’ll be getting together with a good friend later that puts a spring in your step. After my morning shift today I will be getting together for breakfast (or early lunch, in my case, since I get up at 3:45 a.m.) with my friend Sue. She and I rarely get a chance just to sit down together and catch up. We see each other at gatherings two or three times a year — in fact, the last time I saw Sue was at my Christmas party last December — but it is the rare occasion where she and I get a chance for a one-on-one visit.
Sue believes very much in “Mercury in Retrograde” kind of stuff; she gets regular readings from a professional psychic, and she swears that her success as a realtor — she ranks in the top 5 at her company — comes from listening to her psychic and paying attention to signs.
For my 50th birthday a few years ago Sue bought me a natal chart reading — an awesome and unique gift. I was amazed at how accurate and insightful it was. She even sat down with me a couple weeks later and explained how it all worked, and how to go about implementing such spirituality into my everyday life.
I am not nearly as spiritual as Sue, so I am hoping today that some of her spirituality and beliefs will rub off on me today. I could use a little more spirituality in my life, so any spiritual advice she may have is welcome.
But even more so, I am simply looking forward to catching up with this very unique and lovely friend.
