Day 3 — The Zzzzzz Drive to Arizona — 40 Days of Writing, Fall Session 2014

We have arrived! We are settled in our hotel in Tempe, all showered and ready to hit the bricks along Mill Ave. A very cold pinot gris and some light appetizers are in my very near future.

Although I plan to write everyday, I will more than likely be keeping the blogs short, as I wish to be more out and about, than glued to my laptop, hammering out paragraph after paragraph as I do in my normal fashion.

I took photos during the road trip, partly out of boredom, partly out of the plan of having Day 3 consist of mostly photos. I took a number of them from the back seat of my 2000 CRV as Chuck drove (I took the first shift San Diego to Yuma), as the plan was to take a nap (since I had been up since 3:30 a.m., having worked my a.m. shift on the air); but sleeping in the car rarely results in more than a 20-30 minute catnap, so I put my camera to work once I woke up.

So here are the photos, with captions.

My pedicure looks even better with the background of the ceiling of my car!
