Yes, I am wrapping up, but not from the 40 Days. I am wrapping up my day as a traffic reporter here in San Diego. It’s been a very busy afternoon, between a garbage truck fire on the East 52, and numerous accidents throughout the county, including three all around the same time on the North 15 (gee, I’m glad I don’t live in North County).
Anyway, as I come down the home stretch of my work day, thoughts of dinner and a chilled glass of chardonnay permeate my mind and warm my soul. I’m roasting a salmon filet, and I bought some Gorgonzola Gnocchi from Trader Joe’s today, which will be a nice accompaniment, plus I’m going to sauté some spinach.
I usually write when I get home, which cuts into my evening at times; so I am hammering this out at work before leaving, so when I get home, it can be all about Home, Dinner, Chuck, Dogs and some TV. Maybe I’ll take a peek at my November issue of Bon Appetit Magazine that arrived today, while I cook.
It’s been a good, productive afternoon, and now that I have Day 21 under my belt as well, I can transition into evening with grace and appreciation.
