Day 33 — Decluttering — 40 Days of Writing, Fall Session 2014

Ugh! How the hell did I acquire so much stuff in just 53 years?

I’m not quite as bad as the people on Hoarders, but I still acquire and hold onto a lot more than the average person. Today I am sifting through sheets and pillowcases, trying to decide whether or not to toss the ones with 200 thread=count, now that I have some closer to 600 TC. Chuck’s mom gave us a bunch of brand new bedding on our last Arizona trip, so now I am trying to find room for that stuff. Our linen closet is only so big, and although I have learned to fold fitted sheets pretty well (instead of wadding them up) I feel like we’re still lacking in space.

There is also laundry all over that needs to be put away, along with a handful of Chuck’s shirts that need ironing (he is never shopping for shirts for himself again, damn it!).

So this is my Day 33, short and sweet, as there is just too much stuff to sort through, and my Sunday is halfway over.

First World problems, I guess. Let me just shut up and get back to work.
