There has been a strange vibe at my place of employment since my boss was let go last Monday. In Broadcasting, changes are usually pretty common, yet also very rattling.
A friend who has had over 30 years in the business says these kinds of changes can be positive in the long run. It reminds me of the mantra that was instilled in me from my Solution Group therapy years ago, “Essential pain leads to earned rewards.”
Although it is difficult to have the man who changed my life for the better (or at least my career) two years ago, no longer there, I will adapt. He and I will remain in touch, as I will always be grateful.
Meanwhile, there are more changes on the horizon. People are scared.
I choose optimism.
