I have finally gotten a moment to write. I have been up since 3:30 a.m., working, visiting hospice patient, taking dogs to the vet, hair appointment, then work again (with no nap in between shifts, which is an anomaly), staying an hour later than usual, then home to do Thanksgiving prep.
After two hours of prep work, and while the cheesecake finishes baking, I am able to sit down , enjoy my glass of wine, and check my notes. I am surprisingly wide awake, body somewhat tired, yet feeling — for lack of a better word, as I really don’t feel much like thinking — good. I feel good. I left my flu bug in the dust last weekend, Chuck is pretty much over his, and we are ready for a fun weekend. Well, maybe not physically ready, as there is still housework; but mindfully ready.
So I am keeping this short. I wrote today, about my day, and now I just need to wrap up my day, finish up in the kitchen, and enjoy a bit of Kelly Time before getting a good night’s sleep so I can get up around 6:00 and start Thanksgiving Day.
