Day 8 — Electronics, Part 2 — 40 Days of Writing, Winter 2016

My miserable afternoon dealing with tech issues at work rolled off into my morning today. Programs and the printer that I use on a daily basis were not set up on my new system. I was in tears part of the morning was I waited for our IT guy to come and remedy the situation. I even learned a couple of new tricks, but unless I get a chance to apply them, they will more than likely fall into the black hole that is my computer expertise.

A visit to the gym for some treadmill time with my friend Yoli catapulted me into a much better state, and I found myself laughing as I entertained her with my tales of tech woe.

Anyone who deals with computers is no stranger to tech issues; some are just better at trouble-shooting than people like me.

IT people are a breed unto their own, their people skills usually paling in comparison to their tech savvy. But that’s okay, as they have been more of a help than a hindrance to me many times over.

This morning long behind me, it is now time to pour a glass of pinot grigio (Duck Pond is new favorite), and have a couple slices of home-made pizza. I appreciate this evening even more, having had such a rough morning.

I guess it’s that whole Essential Pain leads to Earned rewards thing. Again.
